3min 33sec @chelmsdio clip - Listening to the Voice of Young People

text from you tube "Listen to us, support us, involve us and help us transform the world."

In order for us to create spaces in which young people can explore their place in the Kingdom of God, we need to listen to their ideas, thoughts, questions, and feelings. Young people want to feel heard, and know that their voice is just as valued as that of adults. We also need to make time to listen to God and be led by him in our ministry with young people.

The Youth Advisory Team have commissioned a new resource for small groups, inspired by young people who were involved in establishing key priorities for youth ministry in the diocese. When asked what was most important to them in this area of work, it always came back to one thing: Listen.

The resource consists of session notes for three meetings and a short film which accompanies the pack. The aim of the sessions is to allow you to focus on listening to the voice of young people, to make time to pray, and to explore how God is already building
His kingdom in their lives, and how He might be calling you to join in – in your own context
