15min @wef clip - Hilaree O'Neill: #Failure Frees Us from #Perfection
Text from you tube "When you spend your life climbing and skiing the world's highest peaks where mistakes can be a matter of life or death, how do you think about failure? Hilaree O'Neill shares the lessons she's learned. " which in summary are
1) Failure frees us from perfection
2) Failure forces us to face our own mortality - mortality teaches us gratitude - gratitude is the foundation for real joy
3) Failure means you have the courage to step out of your box and try something unknown to you - which creates character and empathy by exposing vulnerability - character cannot be developed in ease and quiet

The Biggest Myth About #Vulnerability
vulnerability ='s uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure - it about showing up to be seen even when there are no guarantees.
vulnerability is our most accurate measure of courage - 13000 pieces of data - collected over 12 years - I can't find one story of courage that isn't underpinned by vulnerability
