Text from youtube "When the global financial crisis impacted news networks and funding in Slovakia, a brave team of independent journalists risked everything and founded an impartial news publisher called Dennik N. To remain solvent they created REMP, an open-source subscriber-based funding platform. Support from the DNI Fund allowed the team to think bigger and develop these tools into an open source set of software. This allowed Dennik N to not only focus on reporting instead of revenue, it created a tool that other independent publishers can use and adapt.
