11min 47sec clip on some of the approaches to and consequences of developing artificial #intelligence
Some headlines from the voiceover ....
If AI becomes more competent in every regard then what purpose or function is left for humans?
An AI could operate at the speed of life and improve upon itself - in essence it could teach itself how to learn new things and in doing so would eliminate the need for a human at the controls.
If we render the human species incompetent what is to stop AI recognising that and taking control? How do we control something more intelligent than us?
